Bundle everyday jobs around the marina. The right laundry, gym or mobile plan depends on the real deadline, access and whether the phone must work across both sides.

Brief laundry like a yacht job

Separate personal laundry from uniform, linen and delicate items. State quantities, wash restrictions, pressing, folding, pickup point and the time the items are genuinely needed.

Same-day service should never be assumed.

Ask the gym the practical questions

Confirm day-pass access, opening hours, class booking, towels, showers, lockers and payment. A gym near the marina is often more useful than a better-equipped facility that requires two transfers.

Choose connectivity around the route

Check the existing mobile plan before buying another SIM. Dutch-side providers offer prepaid options, but French Saint-Martin can be treated as roaming depending on the provider and plan.

Flow currently offers prepaid bundles through its app and USSD menu, with plan length and rollover rules varying by bundle. That is useful background, not a recommendation. Confirm handset compatibility, activation, top-up, expiry and French-side roaming directly before relying on the service.

Questions that change the plan

Settle these before anyone moves.

Can one local SIM cover both sides of the island?

It depends on the provider and plan. French-side use may be roaming even though there is no routine land-border stop.

Is same-day yacht laundry available?

It may be, but capacity and fabric requirements vary. Confirm the actual load and deadline before sending anything.

Do gyms offer day passes?

Some may, but access, hours and amenities change. Confirm directly for the date and time needed.

Should crew use the yacht's number for local bookings?

A reachable shore contact is useful, but operational or private numbers should only be shared where necessary.
